Joshua Thirumalai is a third year Undergraduate Student in the School of Engineering & Applied Science. He is currently working towards his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, and has been a research intern with Matthew Clark since October 2024. His research interests include machine learning, artificial intelligence, computational behavior modeling, and AI ethics. Beyond research, he’s actively engaged on grounds through 2028’s Class Council as a Public Relations Executive, and with the UVA Career Center as a Career Peer Educator.
